Hello dear readers,
Every story begins as a soft murmur in the heart—a fleeting idea, a question, a memory that refuses to fade. My novel Unseen Light was born in just such a way. Today, I want to take you behind the curtain of its creation: from the very first spark to the moment I held the finished manuscript in my hands.
๐ The Spark
The seed of Unseen Light came from my reflections on family, sacrifice, and silent struggles. I often found myself asking: How much do we really see of the battles our loved ones fight in silence?
That thought kept returning, whispering at odd times—while cooking, during quiet walks, even in moments of prayer. Slowly, it grew into a story that demanded to be told.
✍️ The First Draft
Like most beginnings, it wasn’t easy. I wrote in small bursts, sometimes early in the morning, sometimes late at night when the world was asleep.
The words flowed unevenly—some days like a river, other days like hesitant drops. But each session brought me closer to the heart of the story.
The characters began to feel real:
-
a mother giving her all,
-
a father quietly carrying his pain,
-
children navigating the unseen currents of love and loss.
๐ Revisions & Reflections
Once the first draft was complete, I realized the journey was only halfway done. Revising was like polishing a raw stone into something that could shine.
I cut, rewrote, and reshaped chapters—sometimes painfully, sometimes joyfully. Through this process, Unseen Light taught me patience, resilience, and the art of listening to my own voice.
๐ The Final Touch
The day I typed the last line and read the manuscript from start to finish, I felt a quiet stillness.
It wasn’t about perfection—it was about truth. I had poured my heart onto the page, and I knew it was time to share it with the world.

๐ธ Reflection
Writing Unseen Light was like composing a sonata—moments of intensity balanced by pauses of silence, highs of inspiration tempered by lows of doubt.
But together, they formed a melody of love, sacrifice, and hope.
It is my deepest wish that when readers turn its pages, they feel not only the story, but also the heartbeat behind it.
๐ฌ Over to You
Have you ever had an idea or memory that stayed with you until you finally expressed it—through writing, art, or even conversation?
I’d love to hear your own “spark stories” in the comments.
With gratitude and light,
Puja Naik
